Come and join a stained glass workshop and by the end of the day take home your own finished leaded glass panel. No prior experience is necessary—this workshop is suitable for complete beginners. Please note that places are limited to keep the group small and ensure plenty of individual guidance.
Workshop Details:
Dates: Choose one of the following: Saturday 10th October or Sunday 18th October
Time: 10am-5pm
Cost: £140 (one-day workshop)
Location: Pimp Hall Learning Lodge, Pimp Hall Nature Reserve, Entrance gate is off Kings Road, Chingford, E4 7HR (parking available) past the Recycling Centre
What to Bring:
Please wear old clothes and closed-toe footwear. You may also wish to bring an apron and goggles (a limited number will be available to borrow).
Lunch Arrangements:
We will take a short lunch break during the day - please bring food/drink with you.
What You’ll Learn:
During the workshop, you will:
Select a design from a range provided (or submit your own in advance to confirm it’s doable in one day)
Learn how to cut glass
Assemble pieces using lead
Solder the joints
Apply glass cement to strengthen the panel
Add hooks to your finished piece
If you would like to bring your own design, please send it in advance so I can confirm suitability. Designs should be approximately 20–25 cm in size and reasonably simple.
All materials are included in the cost of the workshop.
